Overall, a very successful weekend for the road guys (oh... and Phil... on a mountain bike.... with no gears) at the BUSA 10TT in glamorous Cambridge

AGM this WEDNESDAY, 20 MARCH, 7PM Portland Building, Room C20 or C21 (my memory fails me). Apologies for the short notice. Please come along. Social effort afterwards in the Ark. This is your chance to vote for people for the committee, stand for positions on the NUCC committee to bolster that scant CV of yours, and generally try and drive the club in the direction you want it to go. Want more races/less races? More socials? More trips? More training? Less training? Less pestering from Club sec? More emphasis on any area, be it Road, Trials, BMX, DH, XC, active recruitment of totty etc. End of rant.

Just a quick note to say well done on the weekend, for those of you who came up to Hamsterley. Great seeing everyone and some new faces!<BR>Hope everyone had a good time, even if you crashed, got soaked, had mechanicals, forgot to bring a sleeping bag, got pissed as a choir-boy.. Everyone put up with cold like true soldiers and that made for a good atmosphere. Gotta love that Bristol kiddy on Sat night wandering round covered in puke and piss!<P>Special note and the obligatory gold stars for Graham and Nick for being our top dogs in the XC and DH respectively, some hefty drinking fines coming your way at the next social...!</P> <P>Cheers also to Phil and Andy for driving the whole time, not drinking, losing the van keys...! etc. Much appreciated, gents.</P> <P>Social wise, I'm thinking of looking into another mixed club event with Wakeboarding / Snowsports etc but nothing confirmed yet.</P> <P>Sorry for not having gotten the team social kit sorted. 23 Mountainbikers competed against the student teams from throughout the UK, proving that we are in the top four student MTB teams in the country.

Arrangements for the trip

National downhill champion Rob Warner has agreed to give a master class for Nottingham University Cycling Club members and friends at Aston Hill, Bucks, on Saturday 9th March (2 weeks time).

Tops and shorts are 28.55 each, bib shorts 32.78, and DH top 30.67. Please email Phil to register your interest for the next order if you missed out.

This was the second day of a very long weekend of mountain biking, taking the cycling club to one of the toughest locations that the United kingdom has to offer, so tough that we had to resort to plan B (get back to civilisation asap), as the pictures (when they finally get processed and scanned) will illustrate.
