Midlands XC Series 2008

Gerard
28 January 2008

Hopefully we can get a few of us to some of these races, epsically now that we will have new Jerseys.

There are several race categories to choose from based on ability (Fun – Elite) and also based on age (12 upwards). At round 3 there will also be racing the under 12’s and under 10’s, which will be free to enter. There is no need to pre-enter these races, which will be held just before the morning race, just turn up on the day and sign the little ‘uns up.

Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each category (except Fun) and there will also be some great prizes up for grabs.

All 3 rounds will be British Cycling affiliated, meaning they will carry BC ranking points. A race license is not compulsory, with the exception of the Expert and Elite categories; however those carrying a licence will be able to pick up British Cycling Category E ranking points for Rounds 1 and 2, and Category D ranking points for Round 3.

Round 3 will incorporate the Midlands Champs. This round is still open to riders from any part of the UK and all riders will be entitled to Category D ranking points, although riders residing at an address with a Midlands postcode will be additionally eligible to contest for the title of Midlands Champ 2008. For a full list of eligible postcodes please visit www.xcracer.com.
