E.S.C. event
Hi Guys! I'm one of the AU Ents Officers for this year. I'm really keen in
getting a group together to start off the Extreme Sports Collective again this
year. I think its probably too late to organise one for before christmas, but
it would be great to have one after the January exams.
For those of you who don't know (shock horror!!) the ESC is a combination of
nusnow, waterski & wakeboard, surfsoc, bike, windsurf and skate who organised a
number of socials last year at the Zone with loads of free cocktails, and a
totally different music to what is usually found in the Zone - Drum and Bass,
Hip hope, House, Garage, etc etc. They were brilliant nights, and I want more
of them!!!
Basically, I want to get a committee together of you guys, and/or members of
your club, to organise some more ESC socials for this academic year. Can you
talk to your members, or forward this email, and see who is interested - I know
that there are already some interested people in waterski, nusnow and surf, so
get them to get in contact with me with details of the best time that they would
be able to meet up to get the ball rolling! Ideally it would be good to get a
couple of members of each club on the commitee, and then some volunteers to work
behind the bar/collecting tickets on the night.
I don't reckon it would take too much to organise something like this, as long
as we all chip in distributing posters and spreading the word, etc., so as to
drum up loads of interest. It is a completely alternative student night which
people would love, whether they're in one of your clubs or not!!

this address as I'm more likely to check it!!? Also, make sure they get in
contact asap -i.e. middle of next week if possible, so we can get this thing
started!
