Another fantastic week sunning ourselves in the French Alps... oh & riding down big mountains too :-)

Masochistic 24hr racing for charity in 2004

2003's mountain bike trip to the French Alps, complete with crashing, yoghurts, soft rear shocks, pink clothing and lots and lots of cheese!

More self-inflicted pain from two Nottingham-based teams, this time in Birmingham. Grads 41st, NUbike slackers 172nd.

7th and 3rd places for Nottingham and Robin Hood teams respectively.

24 hour race - Mud, Sweat and Sleep deprivation

Cable-cars, chair-lifts, downhills, rocks, roots, mud, switchbacks, crashes, scars, cuts, bruises, pain, jet-washes, broken bike parts, parcel tape, photos of the ceiling, L'Igloo, beer etc. Oh...and huge grins :o)

Not just another Bestwood ride. Rain, mud, darkness and sellotape.

23 Mountainbikers competed against the student teams from throughout the UK, proving that we are in the top four student MTB teams in the country.

This was the second day of a very long weekend of mountain biking, taking the cycling club to one of the toughest locations that the United kingdom has to offer, so tough that we had to resort to plan B (get back to civilisation asap), as the pictures (when they finally get processed and scanned) will illustrate.
