CLIC 24 charity 24 hour race

2005-05-14

24 hour mountain bike race in the Mendip hills, Somerset, raising money for the CLIC (Cancer and Leaukaemia in Chidlhood) charity.

Based at the Charterhouse Outdoor Centre in 2005 - a fully equiped outdoor centre with showers, great camping and catering facilities to restaurant standard.

New course based around the very best the Mendip Hills has to offer - about 10 miles of bridleway and single-track, taking in some breath-taking scenery and views and over open moor and through woodland. Our aim for 2005 is to produce smiles not tears. The Hill has long gone!!

The team event is usually the most popular category. This category allow for teams of up to four riders to ride relay laps around the course, to complete their laps no later than noon on Sunday 15 May, 24 hours after the start. The solo event is a true endurance test for only the very fittest of riders. With the intensity of 24 hour riding please don't ride this event solo unless you are an experienced endurance rider.

And of course with CLIC24 there's something for everyone so if you want a long lazy break at anytime then that is up to you. Last year some of the 'fun' riders still generated as much money for CLIC as the race teams, so don't feel intimidated. CLIC24 is designed to accommodate all levels and abilities...
