Hoodies?

29 January, 2010 21:39

A lot of societies (especially the sports ones) seem to have hoodies. Was wondering if anyone here would be interested?
Could probably have a logo and nubike on the front...and then hopefully we could get names or the back - or we could do it however everyone wants.

As long as they're not turquoise.

We had a chat about this at the social the other day. We'll be sorting some out
:)

Just out of interest I had a look at a few companies to see what was out there...I've contacted these people to get an idea for cost because they look quite good (they do ones for societies as well as for school leavers) http://www.leavershoodies.com/index.php

That does look like they have most bases sorted.

andy, any idea who this catagory falls too on the commitee?

i'm with simon alot of today so i'll start spitballing ideas/colour and whatnot with him.

I'll let you know when they get back to me with a rough guide to price, obviously if they're more expensive that other companies...we'll go with someone else.

My suggestion for colour is blue although the company I was looking at let you set up an online shop which means I think we could all have different colours if thats decided upon, that also means people can order and pay online which would save someone from getting name, sizes, money etc from everyone.

As long as it says Nubike on and maybe has a logo on the back/front, then it's cool.

If we decide on a design then I can sort it out?

By the way.....NOT baby blue again :P

What colour are the race kits this year?
DH is red.
What about XC and Road?

30 January, 2010 18:10

They're turquoise :|

no baby blue/similiar to baby blue colours

i reckon red, or something bright but not gay.

green maybe? (bright one)

31 January, 2010 08:10

Yeah a bright colour would be good, I reckon either bright red or a bright blue (not a pale one). I reckon it'd look good if we get the university logo on the front (where you tend to put badges) and nubike could go along the front in the middle. And then our names along the top on the back if possible. (thats just my idea...im good for anything though :) )

You seem to have thought this out pretty well. Maybe you could sort out the hoodies?

Have to check with the rest of the commitee but I don't see why it would be an issue : )

Green gets my vote by the way :P

excellent, they do custom thongs aswel

The online shop sounds like a good idea, keeps it simple. is there one set layout and then people choose colour of material + writing? would rather go for a dark colour myself as they tend to get worn for grimy stuff

31 January, 2010 21:59

We need to do a logo or something for this year.....Ideas anyone?

31 January, 2010 23:11

i worked for a t-shirt hoody printing company if you sort out what you want i can get production cost :)

01 February, 2010 20:14

Yeah I wouldn't mind sorting it out, although if Ally can get them cheaper that sounds good to me. Looks like we may all end up going for different colours though! :-)

02 February, 2010 10:04

Ally fancy designing some? i get the impression you're good at that designy kinda stuff, + you can get them cheap

My vote goes to a red/orange hoodie

02 February, 2010 18:52

I like the idea of any colour, except red or blue, because I have too many red and blue hoodies! I think I've bought them at every opportunity so far.

Orange would be cool, or dark green, but not too fussed.

03 February, 2010 13:27

The university sports kit colour is meant to be green, hence the new cycling kit but it doesn't matter too much. Go crazy with the hoodie's though.

Just wondering if there be any progress as far as designing of hoodies goes? (just thinking it needs to get sorted reasonably fast otherwise the year be over :P )
