BUCS information - committee should read..

15 March, 2010 20:27

Hi all,

PLEASE NOTE ALL THE BELOW................

1. Site available from 1700 on Thursday 18th March. Until event close on the Sunday. No parking or camping will be usable outside these times.

2. To approach the site please follow the brown tourist signs from the A701. DO NOT use the minor road from Parkgate as it is too small for van/buses etc. As you enter Ae village the forestry site is obvious on the right.

3. Parking will be as directed by our stewards, please bring as few vehicles as possible and park as close as possible. It is only a short walk to the camp site.

4. Camping is on one large field, tents MUST be a minimum of 3 metres apart to comply with fire regs. The camp site will have toilets, fire points and skips so please keep it tidy.

5. There is one official fire for the Saturday night, NO other fires are permitted. Stoves and BBQ's must be off the ground and Non damaging.

6. Drinking water is available from a tap by the forestry buildings.

7. There will be free use of the site male and female showers.

8. Pressure wash use for bikes is available at the Ae7 cycle centre at a small charge.

9. The nearest fuel/shops etc is mostly Dumfries about 30 minutes away so come prepared. If everyone parks well then vehicles should be able to get in and out easily.

10. No loud music is permitted after 11pm (2300) as to do so you require a council license.

11. Phone signal is poor to none at times, don't rely on being able to phone people to find the site.

12. There is a number of bike related retailers on site, not all will be able to process card payments so bring cash if you want to shop!

Thanks

Jamie
