Bike Jumble Sale, Nottm

Hello,

As part of National Bike Week 2011, Sustrans - the UK’s leading sustainable transport charity - is hosting an inaugural "Carnival of Cycling" on Saturday 18 June. The event is intended to be both a celebration of cycling culture and a fun, informative access point for new cyclists and families. The Carnival of Cycling will consist of two main areas. The first is to be a Bike Jumble Sale, in which stallholders trade cycle parts and accessories. The second area will be dedicated to the promotion of cycling, both to those who already ride bikes, and to those who are completely new to cycling and want advice about getting started.

As part of this, we are inviting members of local bike shops, cycling groups, traders and just plain old unaffiliated cyclists to come along and have a stall in the Bike Jumble Sale area to help you get rid of all those parts that have accrued over the years. We’re expecting 500-1000 people through the doors and we really believe it will be a great event.

Details of the event are:

When: Saturday 18th June 2011
Where: Byron Building, NTU, Shakespeare Street, Nottingham, NG1 4GH
What time: 10am-4pm
Setting-up: 8-10am (Jumble Sale traders must be set up by 9.30am)
Cost: £5 per space (2m x 2m)
Table Hire: £5 per table or bring your own table

If you are interested in the event and want to know more or wish to book a space, please contact us on

Hello,

Event is on Saturday. Who knows about a rockshox boxxer, there are plenty of traders and not just roadie, vintage stuff, so you may be pleasantly surprised.
