Where are we meeting Alex?

We are meeting at Matt's house, 20 Hungerton Street, Lenton. This is right by Tesco Express in Lenton, but we don't want to take up all the parking spaces at midday at Tesco's, hence the meeting at Matt's.

It's right by the carpet warehouse, you can't miss it.

What time are we meeting Alex?

We are meeting at 1:30PM ON FRIDAY 10TH JUNE, to leave by 2pm so we can get there in good time to set up tents. Returning late Sunday evening.

What are the plans Alex?

Plans are as follows:

- Leave 20 Hungerton Street at 2pm to get to out campsite near Keswick for ~5pm
- Set up tents and have BBQ for dinner - YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BBQ FOOD FOR THE EVENING
- NUBike lads on a mad one in Keswick from 10pm till ??
- Saturday morning: XCers ride Whinlatter trail centre, roadies ride Matt Cardell's Ultimate Lakes Road Route
- Saturday evening: pub dinner
- Sunday morning: XCers ride Ashby's SuperSick Wicked XC Gnarcore Route, roadies ride Matt Cardell's Ultimate Lakes Road Route mk 2
- Sunday evening: drive back merry and fulfilled after a weekend of fun-packed riding

Am I coming Alex?

If you are one of the following people you are coming on the trip:

- Sam Caragi
- Al Ozga
- Matt Cardell
- James Pickup
- Joe Dean
- Tim Birthwhistle
- Calum D
- Ashby

- Ally Dann (meeting us there)

I can't make it any more Alex, what should I do?

You should post below and let me know ASAP and await a big slap followed by a barrage of questions as to why you did not tell me earlier when I next see you.

How much will the trip cost Alex?

The trip cost is £35 per person, it is a very long way away hence leaving on Friday, and camping in the high season in such a beautiful part of the country doesn't come cheap even with the grant account subsidy.

What do I need to bring Alex?

- Bike
- Watter bottle
- Pump
- Tubes and spares
- Riding gear
- Sleeping bag
- Pillow
- Warm clothes to brave the cold Lake District nights
- Waterproofs
- Roll mat
- Toiletries
- FOOD for BBQ on the Friday
- CASH for all meals other than the BBQ on Friday and other expenses; meals are breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. I advise you bring £50.
- Mobile phone

Do I need to bring a tent Alex?

You don't need to bring a tent, we have enough for all.

Can I share a sleeping bag with you either night Alex?

I'm afraid you can't.

I am a vegetarian Alex, can I still participate in the BBQ on Friday?

You can, as long as you don't contaminate my beefburgers with your veggie burgers.

What if I throw up all over my own back on Friday evening Alex?

You'll have to make to I'm afraid, make sure you bring a change of clothes in anticipation of such eventualities.

Can I have your assurance that I'll have a good time Alex?

You can indeed; I can assure you that the event will be both fun and challenging, with that special mix of banterfull camaraderie and tough but thrilling riding riding NUBike is so famous for.

What if I have any other questions Alex?

You can post them below.

As an amendment to the above, MTBers are doing James' route on the first day and the trail centre on day 2, not the other way round.

We regret to announce that due to an incident involving much alcohol and huge amounts of LAD James will not be able to drive on this trip as he has broken his foot. The trip is still going ahead however, and minus one person means we can now do it with two cars and still fit everyone in. Our best NUBike wishes go out to him for a speedy recovery.
