SUMMER UPDATE and NEW SOCIALS with Skydiving and other clubs...

Ladies and gents,

Hope you're all having a good summer, filled with cycling-related goodness.

This isn't actually an update, more of a pre-update to let you know that within the next couple of days I'll post a proper thread up explaining what your committee members are up to this summer and what we have planned for the forthcoming year, basically a summary of what we set out at the last committee meeting so you're all up to date.

In the meantime, two things:

1) In the next few days I'll create a Facebook page for NUBike that you can 'like' - we decided that this would be better than the current group format, as you have to check that regularly, if you like an official page then you get all updates appearing in your newsfeed. Jolly good. I'll post here when it's done but please like it when it comes!

2) I have just received the following from the President of the Skydiving Club:

"I'm president of the Skydive Club and we're organising an "extreme sports social" starting on Thursday 6th October in Willoughby Hall Bar.

...

We'll be trying to make the event a weekly, or at least a monthly, event and we're getting as many adrenaline clubs involved as possible."

Basically regular socials with other action sports clubs, can't go wrong. Look forward to seeing it happen.
