In case any freshers are reading this - the 'official' first ride will be the Wednesday after, 5th October, as you are all busy and hungover during Fresher's Week.

Is the ride happening tomorrow (Saturday) at 12pm?

it turned out to be not so short in the end but we rolled on through the blistering sunshine and around quite far east of the city so good job everyone, was nice.

Thanks for putting that up. I was so lost by the end that I had no choice but to keep going.

After some initial busy roads, headwind and a hill; this ride is pure bliss. Low traffic, winding roads through beautiful countryside and most of it feels downhill. If the plan is already Melton Mowbrary, I suggest riding the route clockwise, a good 5miles at 25-26mph avg.
