Welcome to NUBike/first ride/first social

This was sent via email a couple of days ago but the AU have told us the Uni are having mahoosive problems with their mail servers so it seems it hasn't reached anyone yet! Therefore I'm putting a copy up here...

Hello all,

First up, a warm welcome to NUBike, Nottingham Uni's cycling club. We're thrilled you chose to join us and look forward to seeing you at rides, trips and on socials. The Cycling Club has been an integral part of my life since joining Uni, and I'm sure it'll play the same role for you too.

Here is all you need to know to get started:

The first ride for XC and road leaves this Wednesday, the 5th, at 2pm from the Portland Building lakeside entrance, i.e. the main entrance from the front as it were. This will be our meeting time and place every week for XC and road. Roadies generally also meet on Saturday here too, at noon.

The club's first official social is on Wednesday 12th October. We'll be doing a meet-and-greet in the SU bar, Mooch, followed by a night out at Crisis. Sam, your Social Sec, is sorting this out and will be sending out an email soon.

Before that, however, on Thursday 6th, there is the Adrenaline Social which involves many clubs and is sure to be a blast. It's at The Den on campus and some of us NUBikers will be there. Come along and bring some friends - they don't have to be a member of any of the clubs to take part. Entry is only £2 and that gets you entry into a free raffle with loads of great prizes to be won.
