FIRST MTB TRIP: DH and XC at Cannock, Sunday 30th

Hi all,

The time has come to announce the first NUBike MTB trip! As per tradition, this is a joint DH/XC trip to Cannock Chase, which offers great riding for both XC and downhill and is only an hours' drive away, and will be happening on Sunday 30th October, two weekends away.

The downhillers will ride the Stile Cop tracks at Cannock, and the XCers will do a few laps of the awesome, purpose-built trails the Cannock trail centre has to offer - the Monkey Trail and Follow the Dog.

After a great days' riding we will most likely stop off at the Rugeley Weatherspoons' on the way back for food and a pint (for those who aren't driving!)

Cost of the trip is £10, payable when we pick you up. This pays for transport both ways and van hire should we require it, you will just have to bring some money for food.

We will have two pickup points, Lenton and Uni Park campus (if you are on Sutton Bonnington please let me know ASAP and we will arrange it)

Itinerary:

- 8am: Tesco Express pickup
- 9am: Uni Park pickup at the Trent building car park
- ~10:30: arrive at Cannock. Ride.
- (evening): pack up, Weatherspoons', drive back to Notts.

You will need:

- Bike
- Helmet (you can't come without one)
- Clean clothes for journey there and back, and riding kit
- Money for food
- Spares/pump/tubes etc.

How to sign up:

- Either reply to my email with your name and state whether you're XC or DH
- Post below your name and whether you're XC or DH
- There are 15 PLACES AVAILABLE excluding drivers, so hurry up and get your name down!!

Don't be put off if you're a beginner, you are most welcome and we won't leave anyone behind.

That's 11 so far but I may have made a mistake... the max capacity is actually 13/14, depending on whether the van has 2 or 3 front seats, we'll assume 13 until I find out otherwise.

That means only 2 places left people.

So gutted I don't have my bike with me.
