Any really old boys here?
Hi there just stumbled across this site and thought I would have a look at the old boys section but don't see many names I recognise.
I was a mamber from Oct 1988 through to leaving in the summer of 1991, other members I can remember were Steve May, last I heard he was in Huddersfield - I bumped into him at a road race about 6 years ago. Tim Williams who is still in Cambridge and was back racing 2 years ago. Other member who I haven't seen for 18 years: Mick Alden, Dave Tharrat, Terry Dickerson (ended up in cambridge I think, John Pettit and Russel Blake - these 2 used to come out on those strange bikes with big fat tyres!
Has the club still got (joking) the Mavic disc wheels we bought for the time trials? They were the lovely yellow ones which resembled 2 dustbin lids, they were ok once you got them going.
Afraid we're all a bit newer than that! I don't think any of the regulars on here go back beyond the late 1990s.
Anyone like to stake a claim as the oldest oldboy, or is that not really a prestigous title :-p
There was a brief appearance from Marcus who left in '97...

I've just registered. 94-97 me. I know Jon Petyt and Russ Blake really well though, although not through uni. Jon co-owns a mountain bike holiday company with a good friend of mine, and Russ owns a hotel in Luchon in the Pyrenees which Jon's holiday company runs from in the summer.
