Review of the year/plans for 2009....

16 December, 2008 11:46

According to

http://www.nubike.com/forums/3-old-boys/forum_threads/2937-what-events-in-2-8-tickle-your-fancy-

This year's report:
"3 peaks cx at the second attempt" - tick, never again mind!
"Possibly a half marathon" - tick, another in the spring and then probably never again
"Hopefully a week's touring in Scotland in the spring" - er, no.
"Oh and some mountain biking" - yes but nowhere near enough.

2009 will hopefully bring:
Another half marathon (why oh why oh why)
24hr racing again (having managed 45 minutes in the last two years)
Maybe a solo 12....
Some Welsh enduros
Lots more time spent riding from the front door and exploring natural trails :-)

Pat Adams 24hr road race anybody - FAIL

Or how about the Kona Sleepless in the Saddle race in Finland - FAIL

Coast to Coast - FAIL

If 24hr racing isn't enough, how about a 48hr race...

2008 - "Pyrenees! :-D"

Success - yes, 100% completion, I rule. Shame about not riding my bike any of the rest of the time.

2009:

- Actually ride my bike
- Pyrenees
- A return to Scotland
- Somewhere new in the UK (Stainburn has been raised as a challenge)

Happy Christmas everyone!
