Another weekend, another load of riding to plan :-)
Who's free & where shall we go? Trans Cambrian Way in 2 days anyone?
Sorry. I'll be at Margam for the 'big welsh weekend'.
What about 1 / 2 weeks before?
I'll be sunning myself in Greece then Jimbo, sorry! ;-)
Margam park eh? I would say pop in and say hi, but I'll be at a wedding 300 miles away :-/
Amit and I starting to plan this weekend's riding now and have a plan of a Machynlleth to Nant Yr Arian and back ride over 2 days (including playing at both trail centres) with an overnight wild camp en route.
Any takers?
sounds tempting but I'm not sure i've got all the gear for it, and won't have a chance to go shopping between now and then. Would I need my own stove?
Don't think so Martin as Amit's bringing one so we can share one between several of us as long as you don't mind waiting for hot food & drink!
Essentials will be:
- tent / bivvy bag
- sleeping mat
- sleeping bag
- clothes, kit etc
- food for 2 days
- rucksack for all of above
+ first aid kit, space blanket, etc
Yikes! You must have pimp lightweight camping kit to be able to carry all that all day on your back!
Plus a rear rack (maybe) :p
think that is too hardcore for me and my banterweight camping kit.
Did you all survive to tell the tale?
We did... and a top weekend it was - 2 days of quality riding, fantastic scenery and great camp-spot too :-)
